Upper Myagdi Hydropower Limited is currently developing the 53.5 MW Upper Myagdi-1 Hydropower Project located in Dhaulagiri and Malika Rural Municipalities of Myagdi District, Gandaki Province. The project uses the flows of Myagdi river, tributary of Kali Gandaki River in Sapta Gandaki (Narayani) basin, of central Nepal. The project is promoted by Urja Developers, who possess wide experience in the power sector. The project is expected to come into operation in March 2027.
